Ashwagandha--A Miracle Herb?

Ashwagandha as an Anti-Depressant

"WSG 'Ashwagandha component] induced an 'anti-anxiety effect,] comparable to that produced by lorazepam..."

"Further, both WSG 'Ashwagandha component] also exhibited an antidepressant effect, comparable with the induced by imipramine 'drug]...

"The investigations support the use of WS 'Ashwagandha component] as a mood stabilizer in clinical conditions of anxiety and depression..."
