Copper
and Tumor Prevention
"In this study, 'animals] fed 'a] low copper diet had significantly more
small intestine tumors than 'animals] fed the adequate copper diet,"
reported scientists from the Grand Forks Human Nutrition Res. division
of the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture.*
DETAILS: Copper is a nutrient present in minute amounts in the body, and
2 milligrams is the recommended dosage for adults. Excessive copper can
be harmful.
