"'Large studies of] populations consuming high levels of 'omega3 fats] have
relatively low incidences of Type 2 diabetes whereas those with diets low in
'omega 3 fats] have a higher incidence," begins a report revealing that
the DHA portion of these fats may "improve insulin sensitivity," which would
be highly beneficial to diabetes patients. DHA is one of the two principal
fats along with EPA in fish oils.
