How Much Are Doctors Paid Off To Favor a Drug

"One approach to addressing potential conflicts of interest among physicians receiving payments from pharmaceutical companies to require disclosure of such payments..."

So begins a summary of an original article from JAMA, 2OO7, March 21. in Journal Watch, a privately circulated physician's publication.

However, of the 60 drug companies asked about such payments, only 15 responded. In Minnesota for example, roughly 7000 physician payments of $100 or more were made "(median amount, $1000)."
