SINISTER (CORTICO) STEROIDS
If
You Are Taking Asthma Medication, You Are Probably Taking One
Glucocorticoid drugs (such as
prednisone)
are often prescribed for inflammatory conditions. The Archives of Internal
Medicine (a pub. of the A.M.A.) suggests using another drug in addition to
that one to help counter the bone-weakening effects of the steroid. Bone
breakdown is one of the many harmful effects of the drug.

journal suggests that this second drug "...should lead to fewer fractures."

is another side effect. Meanwhile, there are foods and nutrients that may
accomplish the same ends without harmful effects.
Inhaled steroids have
such trade names as Aerobid, AeroBid-M, Azmacort,
Beclovent, Decadron Respihaler, Pulmicort
Turbuhaler, and Vanceril. Dexamethasone is also a
corticosteroid.
