Why
Hearts Fail After Surgery
Studying the stages of non-apparent functions of circulatory activity
after heart attacks to determine just why some operations fail,
scientists* have suggested that a reduction in the body's anti-oxidant
defenses may lead to heart failure. The defenses were comprised of three
enzymes with long names (sorry about that,) Super Oxide Dismutase,
Glutathione Peroxidase and Catalase.
DETAILS: The scientists did not suggest remedies for the decrease in the
