Neuroscientists at Louisiana State U. have found that Cox2* enzyme in the
body is involved in the causation of Alzheimer's Disease. If this is
confirmed in further studies, it could lead to the use of aspirin and its
knockoffs--ibuprofen, naproxen, Vioxx etc.-- in its prevention and
treatment. This is because NSAIDs, the aspirin group of drugs, inhibits
Cox2.
