Alzheimer's
Cause Found?
Neuroscientists at Louisiana State U.* have found that Cox2** enzyme in
the body is involved in the causation of Alzheimer's Disease. If this is
confirmed in further studies, it could lead to the use of aspirin and
its knockoffs--ibuprofen, naproxen, Vioxx etc.--in its prevention and
treatment. This is because NSAIDs, the aspirin group of drugs, inhibits
Cox2.
