HRT May Cause Testicular Cancer

"The incidence of testicular 'testes] cancer is increasing concurrent with a possible increase in male breast cancer, and sperm quality may be deteriorating," begins a report in FASEB, vol. 16, No.2, 2002.

"Estrogens are capable of inducing oxidative DNA damage," it continues. The study notes that male reproductive damage is caused by the experimental use of estrogen in animals, and causes oxidative effects in their livers and kidneys, including tumors. The report notes that vitamins C, E and Beta Carotene reduce this effect.

DETAILS: The problem is that estrogens... including those in contraceptive pills, are passed on to the fetus. This would argue against the use of HRT, and for the use of soy products (which have some similar positive effects without the above-mentioned negatives.) Also for the avoidance of contraceptive use for some time before intended conception.
