Scientists pondered the effectiveness of two types of training for overweight men--resistance training such as using barbells or exercise machines or--endurance training as in fast walking, running or bicycling, in reducing cardiac risk.
"Both 'endurance and resistance training] reduce cardiac heart disease
risk," they found, " however endurance training provided a more favorable
modification of risk factors."
