A vital part of Alternative Medicine is--exercise. Just a chance thought? It has now been proven. A report in Circulation, a journal for Cardiologists, reports that, "Maintaining or improving fitness is associated with a lower risk of all-cause and cardiovascular mortality in men."

This Alternative Medicine study concluded that, "Preventing age-associated fitness loss is important for longevity regardless of Body Mass change."

The report covered a study of 14,345 men over a period of six years. "Mortality was assessed until 11 years after the last examination."

Editor's note about cardiovascular exercise: Fitness can be achieved by brisk walking at least a mile three times a week, or jogging, bicycling or swimming. These, like other proven techniques, affords Alternative Medicine--low risk, high return efforts by natural means.
