Copper is valuable to the body. It is found in nuts, sunflower seeds, green olives, wheat bran (as in whole wheat,) liver, blackstrap molasses, cocoa, oysters and black pepper.
Copper is essential for our brains, blood, and bones. But research by the
U.S. Dept. of Agriculture* has revealed that the current recommended dose of
10 milligrams 'mg.] of copper a day may be too high. "...analysis from 27
healthy male volunteers showed that 'the seemingly] low dosage of 7.8 mg. of
copper after 4 1/2 months...lowered their immune system defenses and their
antioxidant blood levels."
