Melatonin
and Mental Problems
Melatonin, researchers* report, "is a potent antioxidant against
different 'toxic] oxygen species 'and] has reported to be
neuroprotective...." Starting at that point, scientists went on to
study whether melatonin would be protective against Parkinson's Disease.
Their experiments revealed that oxygen radicals often are behind
Parkinson's, and where that is the case, melatonin would be helpful.
