Soy
Improves Bone Mineral Density in Women
Suggesting that osteoporosis risk may be reduced in women by the intake
of soy, scientists at the U. of North Carolina* have found in two
studies that indications of bone mineral density were increased with soy
isoflavones contained in the bean. The first report showed
its beneficial effects in young women and the second revealed its
benefit to middle-aged and to older women.
