Wow! A Quickie Low-Calorie Snack!

They come in frozen packages by Birds Eye, Green Giant, house brands and others. They are one pound (and larger) frozen mixed vegetables.

Depending on the strength of your microwave oven--or you could steam them--it should take no more than 3 minutes to defrost. Two thirds of a cup has only 60 calories--and no salt!

Wait--does that sound a bit pallid? Sprinkle Romano and/parmesan cheese from a shaker (sold in 1/2 pound fiber cans.) Just a pinch of calories more, and even better, being cheese they contain CLA*, which reduces the risk of cancer AND reduces body fat!

*Conjugated Linoleic Acid
