A FABULOUS FIBER
FEAST
This recipe is easy as boiling water. But it tastes much better. And its
soooo healthful!
Ingredients:
1/3 cup brown rice
1/3 cup lentils
1/3 cup whole barley*
1
cup low-salt chicken soup
1 tablespoon garlic powder
Water.
Place the first three ingredients in a saucepan or rice cooker.
Add garlic powder.
Add chicken soup.
Add 1 1/2 cups of water.
Bring to slow boil or turn on rice cooker.
Its
all done when the fiber combo has absorbed the water. Voila!
In
the ethnic section of the supermarket you can find it among Hispanic foods
as "Cebada."
