"...'soy isoflavones] may inhibit the growth of prostate cancer cells by down regulation of genes involved in cell proliferation, metastasis, and angiogenesis 'which provide new blood supplies to feed cancer cells] while inducing major cell cycle inhibitors 'directly interfering with cancer cell growth.]" Editors note: Thus these soy ingredients oppose tumor cells both directly and indirectly.

The report also noted that two other soy ingredients, saponins and lunasin, "have potent anticancer activity."
