Soy
Protective Against Prostate Cancer
"Dietary phytoestrogens 'in soy] are strong candidates for a role
as protective compounds
with regard to prostate diseases."
That from a report by Adlercreutz, Mazur, Hallmans et al*, who found
that both soy's
isoflavones and lignans in rye bran caused tumor cells in animals to
"normalize,"
that is, to change from being immortal to being mortal. Being mortal of
course, leads
to their death.
This benign approach to prostate cancer contrasts with more invasive
approaches.
The isoflavenoids and lignans do not kill.
IMPORTANT:
IF YOU BUY RYE BREAD, REALIZE THAT YOU ARE GETTING VERY LITTLE OF THE
VALUABLE BRAN. RYE BREAD IS ORDINARILY MADE FROM WHAT IS CALLED
"CLEAR FLOUR," WHERE MUCH OF THE LIGNANS ARE REMOVED.
