losing weight and weight loss
You could go on a diet that may endanger your health (high-protein?) or you
can avoid the hype of many weight-loss schemes and follow what is both safe
and proven. And easy.
February 2000's issue of the Journal of Nutrition* lists foods that
either reduce your appetite or your subsequent
intake of high-calorie foods as shown by actual tests over the years.
They are: apples, beans, breakfast cereal, rice, carrots and non-instant
oatmeal.
A surprise was the potatoes seem to increase appetite. So that eating them
even without butter and not fried, while low in calories can make you gain
weight.
Obviously it doesn't mean that eating a lot of the weight-losing foods won't
increase your calorie intake in themselves. Moderation in all things.
