Tea as Alternative Medicine for Older Woman to Prevent Heart Trouble

"In a...study of 232 women over 70 years of age, we measured 'homocysteine,] tea intake...

"Tea intake (more than 2 cups,) was inversely related to homocysteine...

"The observed lower 'homocysteine in their blood] with higher tea intake is consistent in direction and magnitude with previous...studies.."

From: Asia Pacific Journal of Clin. Nutrition, vol. 15, 2006. By: Drs. Hodgson, Devine, Prince, et al., U. of W. Australia School of Med., Perth, Australia.

Editor's note: High blood homocysteine levels have been shown to correlate with subsequent heart disease. Tea has been shown to be effective as an alternative medicine without side effects.
