woman's health
A higher incidence of cardiovascular events was observed in women taking
calcium supplements. What gives here?
What gives is the naiveté of the doctors doing the study. Medical science,
had it been observed, would have dictated that the women receive vitamin D
in addition*, which regulates calcium in the blood.
In: British Medical Journal, vol. 338, 2008. By: Drs. Bolland, Barber,
Doughty and Reid, et al, Faculty of Medicine, U. of Aukland, Aukland, New
Zealand.
*Or women also taking vitamin D should have been included in the study.
